Dress Code and Behavior

DRESS CODE

  1. Walking  shorts, dresses and skirts must be not be shorter than halfway between mid-thigh and knee.
  2. Wear Clothes and hats as they are intended to be worn.  Belts should be used if necessary.
  3. Clothing with suggestive words or pictures pertaining to drugs, alcohol, sex or tobacco are not to be worn at school.
  4. Clothing must not show bare midriffs.
  5. All 4th - 8th grade girls must wear a T-shirt if they wear a 2-piece swimsuit.
  6. Items not allowed:  bandanas, half shirts, see-through fabrics, flip-flop type shoes, backless shoes, tank tops, tube tops, gum, sunflower seeds, CD and DVD players, iPods, cameras, head phones, chains, knives, laser pointers.

BEHAVIOR

  1. Be respectful and courteous to all school employees.
  2. Name-calling or any type of verbal abuse against classmates will not be tolerated.
  3. Kicking, punching, tripping, slapping, or any other inappropriate physical contact will not be allowed.
  4. Passing from class to class should be done quitely and orderly.
  5. School property (school books, desks, lockers, restrooms, P.E. clothes etc.) will not be damaged.

POSSIBLE PUNISHMENT

  1. Detention assigned and/or loss of Renaissance privileges.
  2. In-house suspension and loss of school activites.
  3. Loss of school activities and field trips.
  4. Loss of ditch day trip for 8th grade.
  5. Loss of graduation for 8th grade.
  6. Suspension from school.
  7. Expulsion from school.  (Not necessarily in this order)
